The Mountainside Villa is a proposal for a rocky vacation home situated on a steep, rocky slope in northeastern Crete. The dramatic Cretan landscape with its rugged features and raw beauty demands an architecture deeply anchored to the land.The design estaablishes a continuous dialogue between topography and structure , creating various spatial ” pauses” that negotiate this relationship.The communal areas form a Π shaped layout at the lowest level, farming panoramic views toward the sea. The private spaces extend linearly above completing the composition and enclosing a central atrium that serves as the heart of the residence.
