The project concerns the design and construction of a complex of six independent tourist residences located within the settlement of Agia pelagia in the Heraklion. The complex is developed as a two-storey building with a basement and attic spaces,aiming for maximum integration into the natural terrain and the surrounding landscape.The building comprises six autonomous residential units arranged on the ground and first floors. Each ground-floor residence features a semi covered private courtyard of semi-outdoor space on the northern side with direct access to the shared swimming pool access to the plot is provided from entry to the designated parking areas and smaller gate for pedestrian access.
The central design concept in the harmonious integration of the complex into its natural environment and landscapes.The architecture follows contemporary clean lines,incorporating materials such as natural stone,wood metal mesh olive-green metal elements and thermal insulation cladding in a warm white tone.The color palette and materiality draw inspiration from the natural hues of the terrain and the Cretan landscape.The project aspires to serve a contemporary model of tourist accommodation that combines privacy with shared experience architectural clarity with bioclimatic principles and modern aesthetics with respect for the cretan landscape.
