Cliff beach villas
The two villas are situated on top of a cliff and overlook the bay. The location of the plot informed the design that is light and airy with many outdoor areas for the users to enjoy the view. The main design element of the houses is the wrap around semi outdoor space that provides shelter from the sun, as well as the pergola on the first floor with the sliding wooden shades.
The materiality is influences by the 1960’s modernist architecture, with white plaster volumes, natural stone, concrete like accents and wooden elements.
The landscape culminated in the infinity pool that looks onto the view, the sunken lounge area within the water and the undercover bbq area.
The interior is also influenced by 1960’s design with minimal constructions and eclectic materials, like the mirrored cabinets, the layered textiles, the sculptural fireplace, the red accents and the dark woods.
