A2G Architects was established in Heraklion, Crete in 2003. Our practice delivers projects from concept to design and focuses on a diverse range of work. Whether it is in the private or public sphere, large or small, we offer design services in the residential, retail and hospitality sectors.
Our philosophy is to create – guided by the experience of space, light and materiality – innovative and imaginative design. Using simple shapes and minimal design we create uncluttered, breathable spaces. Through collaboration and attention to detail, we strive to make our client’s vision a built reality. By implementing high quality architectural design and construction, we anchor each project within its specific physical and cultural context to deliver the perfect built product.
Our studio constitutes a workshop for the production of forms and experiences. We work closely to create a space where ideas and possibilities can develop and flourish. As professionals we tailor our different areas of expertise to meet our client’s individual requirements and needs. A vital stage in our design process is guiding our client through each phase of the design process so that they are informed and involved each step of the way. The A2G Architects team seamlessly combine architecture, interior design and construction engineering into a holistic whole.
Architecture and Interior Design
Our multidisciplinary team offers a unique, personalized experience. We are a friendly and result-oriented team of experts who deliver creative design solutions and approach each individual project as a learning curve. We are guided by architectural principals which view the relationship between the built space, nature, landscape and the human scale as a harmonizing whole. Making the most of the mild Mediterranean climate, we fuse indoor with outdoor spaces through controlled transparency, materiality and function.
Our design studio focuses on bioclimatic architecture and offers LEED certification.
Construction and Project Management
Our extensive experience in turn-key projects enables us to develop strategies to anticipate and overcome the challenges that come with the realities of a project build. Our services include: negotiation and collaboration with planning officers and committees, planning and execution of challenging builds that come from thinking divergently, formulating design and personalized planning strategies to overcome the constraints of site-specific issues, innovative structural solutions to complex situations, in-depth research into environmental policies and sustainability and a rigorous and responsive construction and project management team. We make sure our architectural design is further enhanced by the way it is materialized. Our work exudes our focus on quality, details and durability.
